SUMMARY:APWDC CKC Scent Detection Trials
DESCRIPTION:The APWDC has been approved to host two CKC Scent Detection trials on April 12/13\, 2025. We will once again be at the De Winton Hall\, just south of the Calgary City Limits and will run all CKC levels and components over two days. \nPremium List and entry information is found at www.dogshow.ca \nThese trials generally fill unbelievably quickly (under 2 minutes is not uncommon!) so signing up for notifications and being prepared to enter the moment entries open is your best bet for getting into the trial. Priority entry is offered to club members who volunteer. \nAs always these trials are made possible through the generous donation of time made by club members who fill various volunteer roles. If you are interested in learning more about nosework volunteering can be a great way to see what a trial looks like and how it works. Please contact the trial secretary if you would like to help out for the day or even just a few hours. Volunteers are able to run their dog in the trial.

SUMMARY:APWDC CKC Scent Detection Sanction Match
DESCRIPTION:Whether you are a nosework pro or just want to come out to give your pup some CKC practice\, our upcoming Sanction Match near Calgary will be a fun opportunity. \nA Sanction match is run just like a real trial but no titles or Q’s are officially offered. It is a great way to practice under CKC rules and a CKC judge\, and gives the APWDC a chance to hone our hosting skills before our official trial in April! \nA bit more serious than a fun match but less stressful than a trial. The Match is an All Breed format so if you have friends with other breeds they are also welcome to enter. We’d love to see our members and their friends come out to play! \nPlease note that as a Sanction Match is run under official CKC rules\, you may not enter a level or component that you are not already eligible to compete at. Entry link is in the premium.
